Why Do People Dress Up To Go To Church??

Do you ever wonder why people dress up to go to church?? Me and my husband were discussing this earlier today. Will God not like you if you go to church in jeans and a t-shirt? Yes some people consider it a formal occasion and want to look nice. But the Bible never says worship is a black tie affair. In fact, in the beginning of time, in the days of Adam and Eve, God made them completely naked and never gave them clothes. He didn't tell them that they had to make/buy dresses and suits to worship him. Do you think a preacher would turn you away if you came in jeans and a t-shirt?? Think back, God wanted Adam & Eve to remain nude and without clothes. He was very upset when they wanted to start covering themselves. I'm not saying we should go to church naked. It's just that God never asked for a dress code. He didn't put it in the 10 commandments. He didn't tell Moses when he was writing the Bible to make sure to include that all places of worship must be filled with people wearing uncomfortable dresses, itchy pantyhose, and choking ties. So who decided how you should dress when you go to church??
