A couple of weeks ago my husband and my parents went out for a late lunch/early dinner and the waitress we had took our orders without writing a single word of it down. Now whether we all admit it or not, ordering a meal is no simple task. We don't just say "Steak and fries." We each usually order something different, want it cooked a certain way with different extras on the side. She actually got it all exactly right too. Now what I'm wondering is, did she not write it down because she's THAT good, didn't have any paper, or was she just trying to impress us hoping for a larger tip??

Why is it that only a handful of people get to decide what shows make it to the air then once it's on the air millions of people have to watch the show to keep it there?? It doesn't make sense to me that millions of people have to watch a show for it to stay on but only a few certain people get to decide if a show even makes it on the air.

This next one I've wondered awhile. Why is it if a man sleeps with 10 girls he's labeled a stud, a playboy that his buddies admire. But if a girl sleeps with half that many guys she's labeled a slut?? Just what makes these guys better and held to a differnt standard?? Just who the hell do these people who praise these guys think these guys are sleeping with?? I've heard people say that girls should know better. Why shouldn't the guys?? A girl says she's horny, she's disrespectful and people's jaws fall to the floor, a guy gets horny, it's funny and written off as "nothing new", or "typical guy". Shouldn't guys know better as well?? They can get diseases too and they can create a child. Diseases don't know the difference between men and women. Speaking of the difference between men and women. Why is it if a man dates a woman younger than him they think the woman is a gold digger, but if a woman dates an younger guy, she's labeled a cradle robber and people think she should find someone her own age. Either way the woman is the bad one.

Now this one is of particular interest to me because I love rainbows. If you didn't already know that about me by now then well..I guess you're color blind. Just how did the colors of the rainbow get picked and why that order?? It's not alphabetical. I'll admit the colors are like they appear on a color wheel, but it could have been done differently?? Why this way??

Does a person's name help make the person or is it the other way around??

Why is it a doctor works less hours than a nurse, but still makes at least twice as much a year?? I know a doctor has the degree but come on. Can anyone say while being 100% sure that nurses don't work AT LEAST as hard as doctors??

If you're lucky to live 100 years, why is it instead of getting rewarded for it, you get health problems, a fixed income that you could easily lose or have to hand over to a retirment home and/or doctors??

Why is Congress a paid position?? How much more would probably get done if it was a volunteer job that you do because you care about your country and want the best for it and the people living in it??

What is the point of electoral college?? If the people choose the president and every vote counts as we are always told then why do we need the electoral college?? Gore got more votes in that election thatn Bush but he is not our president. The electoral college chose the president in the election of 2000, NOT the people of this country.

Does anyone really sit up late at night JUST to watch an infomercial?? I'm sure people check out their TV guides and say "Oohh I wonder what time my favorite infomercial is coming on." or "Sorry can't go out tonight, I need to stay home so I can watch the infomercials tonight." And the times they are on, which is usually the middle of the night, you would think if they really wanted to appeal to people and hope they bought the things they are selling they'd try putting them on when most people are watching tv.

Who decides how much things cost in a store?? Is it that particular store, or what??

Where are all the cops when people around you are speeding, running stop lights, cutting people off and taking short cuts in parking lots where a sign says specifically not to??

How are certain ages for things chosen?? Why is it you have to be 18 to vote?? I had a good understanding of the politicans running for offices before I was 18. Ironic..the state trusts me to drive an automobile at 16 years old but doesn't trust me in casting a vote. Why is it you can drive a car while defending your country in some huge war, get married, and have kids at 18 years old, BUT you aren't allowed to have a drink, not even to celebrate any of those occasions??

You need a license to drive a car, go hunting, you even need a license to stick a pole in a pond and hope a fish takes an interest. BUT, you don't need to get a license or even permission from anyone to have a kid. Is something wrong there?? All you need to have a kid is sperm and an egg. God usually gives those things free of charge without checking qualifications.

All parents were kids, so they know what's like, so why do they treat kids as second rate individuals?? They should know how that feels, why repeat the cycle?? Do they feel because they had to go through it growing up, other kids should have to too??

Why are movie theaters SO expensive?? Why do actors ask for SO much money for on average 3 months work?? Why do the studios agree to pay it?? I bet if studios refused to pay that high a price, and went with lesser known actors, then actors' asking prices would go down, and movie theaters would hopefully charge less. The average movie theater ticket is between 5 dollars-7 dollars. Now for a family of 4 to go to a movie, get snacks and drinks, you've just spent enough money to probably pay a ultilty for an entire month. I have a rule when it comes to movie theaters. Never spend more to see a movie ONE time in theaters then it would cost to buy the movie a few months later.

Why do a lot of guys drool over supermodels and the pretty girl in some tight outfit they catch a glimpse of on the sidewalk?? Guys should ask themselves a question when they are looking at a girl like that. "Would I still be interested if this girl was 50 years older or weighed 50 pounds more??" I bet most of them would say no. Sad huh??
